The designer of the new Adidas Tubular, Nic Galway created the futuristic sneaker from old 1990 concepts that were not possible due to technology. The sole is composed from different density foams which was inspired by the airless tires of the Dakar Rally. Looking at the sneakers design you will notice it's similarities to the Y-3 Casa, which Galway also helped design. If your not familiar with Y-3, Its a subdivision of Adidas that creates sneakers designed my Yohji Yamamoto whom caters to a higher end market. The Tubular has introduced a new vision for the Adidas Originals market allowing more people to have what they never knew was there.
Adidas is a household name and is known for their three stripped sneakers such as the famous Sambas or better yet the Superstars. As of 2015 the company has released new lighter weight models such as the Flux. While you may think this is as premium as Adidas get your wrong! Yōji Yamamoto, a Japanese fashion designer based in Tokyo and Paris has collaborated and created a collection called Y-3 which is composed of everything from t-shirts, bags and most important sneakers! His minimalistic designs are decades ahead of the games. Some of this shoes have a outer space vibe. Prices range from $250-$500 depending on the model. The Y-3 Retro Boost is like a Nike Roshe on crack that will set you back $350 bucks. Y-3 shoes would match very well with any pair of slim fit joggers.
