The Converse was first created in 1917 as a basketball sneaker. The name "Chuck Taylor" came from the basketball star and shoe spokesman, Charles Taylor. The physical style of the sneaker has not changed since its release, however many color combinations and collaborations have been created. One common thing you hear about Converse Chucks is there lack of support. The sneaker currently has no arch or concaves to accommodate the shape of the average human foot. This has all changed with the upcoming release of the Chuck II (Chuck 2). On July 28th, Converse will now sell the new model with the Nike Lunaron technology which will add the much needed footbed support. The shoe will also feature a new microfiber canvas upper which will eventually come in a wide range of colors and inevitably designs. Converse also just opened its new Headquarters in Boston which will allow for more innovations from the iconic brand.
