On september 18 Converse will be dropping a brand new colorway of the Chuck II. This sneaker is inspired by the new Nike Lunarlon technology it's features giving this Chuck Taylor a bight glowing yellow tone. One may say this shoe is better off to keep as a conversation piece as it is quite loud in color, however you could wear them with all black everything allowing for the shoe to have full attention. For those that don't know Converse has been owned by Nike, Inc. for over a decade. I wouldn't be surprised if Converse designed a Chuck composed of Flyknit fabric in the near future. I always thought it would be cool to put a air bubble on a pair of All-Stars giving it a little bit of inspiration from the Nike Air Max line. I debating weather I will buy a pair of the Converse Volt color. If if do it will be with the intention of reselling it.
Don't forget to keep your Chucks clean with Star Cleaner.
In the last couple of years Converse has taken some innovative steps forward in the footwear industry. Its been more then a decade since being owned by Nike inc., and they are finally incorporating some of their homegrown technology. The biggest game changer in the Converse Chuck Taylor 2 is it's Nike Lunarlon insoles that gives the sneaker arch support. The Chuck 2 also features a non-slip tongue and a more premium canvas upper. Design wise they kept it very similar to it's original because of the fear of breaking something thats not broken. The new Chuck II features appear to be more minimalistic without it having it's signature blue line. The shoe also has more of a couture fit and giving it a premium look and feel. It's been two days since the release and they are sold out in stores. You can find a pair on eBay tonight but expect to pay $129-$199 for a sneaker that retails at $75. This release tells us Converse is on a new path with many other great things to come! Who knows they might keep the ball rolling and drop a Chuck 3 year.

The Converse was first created in 1917 as a basketball sneaker. The name "Chuck Taylor" came from the basketball star and shoe spokesman, Charles Taylor. The physical style of the sneaker has not changed since its release, however many color combinations and collaborations have been created. One common thing you hear about Converse Chucks is there lack of support. The sneaker currently has no arch or concaves to accommodate the shape of the average human foot. This has all changed with the upcoming release of the Chuck II (Chuck 2). On July 28th, Converse will now sell the new model with the Nike Lunaron technology which will add the much needed footbed support. The shoe will also feature a new microfiber canvas upper which will eventually come in a wide range of colors and inevitably designs. Converse also just opened its new Headquarters in Boston which will allow for more innovations from the iconic brand.
