Converse has taken a huge step in support for the LGBT community with their new Converse Pride collection. This collection that was revealed May 13th offers a variety of styles and some limited edition Chuck Taylor All-Star sneakers to celebrate the LGBT community, diversity and equality.
Rainbow colors have been incorporated throughout the sneakers in a variety of ways. The canvas is not the only part that received a color splash; the bottom soles also show off pride. Converse says these shoes “fight for the freedom to be you” and give style to your advocacy. Whether you like high tops or prefer the low cut Converse has you covered. With fourteen different Pride styles to choose from we have a few favorite you should consider first.
The first favorite is the Chuck Taylor All Star Pride with woven body. This shoe is as unique as you with multiple colors woven throughout the body making it one of a kind. It’s a subtle nod at the movement.
Our next pick is the Chuck Taylor All Star Pride low cut with rainbow speckles design. We love the simplicity of this sneaker that still speaks volumes toward acceptance and equality.
We also like the Chuck Taylor All Star Pride high top with drip paint design. The canvas looks like it was painted with watercolor and is an artistic salute to the movement. There is a similar style available in low cut.
Our last favorite is the Chuck Taylor All Star Pride high top with star print. Rainbow colors host stars on the canvas giving this pair a patriotic twist.
The best part about this collection is they can be worn by anyone. These designs are subtle and stylish enough everyone will want a pair.
Step into spring with some great new sneaker trends. Vans are taking a bold spring forward this year with some great new looks and colors.
Vans Sk8-Hi Reissue canvas high tops are the original kicks but with a vintage flare. Stepping out with bold colors including Chili Pepper, True White, Navy and 10 oz Green. Their online exclusive is the Premium Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip; these ditches the classic canvas for a leather twist and are available in Dress Blues, Black and True White. The Leather Court sneakers are inspired by the 70’s tennis shoe phase and clean lines. The clean edges and low profile are complimented nicely by clean colors Black, Peacoat, and True White. Overall leather may seem to be an upcoming spring trend but Vans is still staying true to the classics. Their new Washed Canvas Authentic sneakers are a great combination of the classic and modern Vans styles.
Ladies are also privileged with the new Sk8-Hi but this year slimmed down to hug the foot for a cleaner look. Some bold colors; Windsor Wine, CastleRock, Black, and Navy are available in addition to some feminine pastel colors; Blanc De Blanc, Gossamer Green and Winsome Orchid. It wouldn’t be spring without a pair of floral sneaker exclusively at Vans. The Floral Mix Authentic Lo Pro is a slick slim low cut sneaker. Pick a subtle mix of black and pink or go bold with black and turquoise. Another great bold print is featured on the Liberty Slip-On. The classic low cut sneaker has taken on a bold and bright look for the spring. The Satchmo is vibrant, retro and just like the rest of the looks, available right now.
